We continue to have the church open for worship on Sundays. So far, we have not had to close the door for any visitor given the ban on gathering more than 50 people. We know that many people who were already living in a precarious situation are hit extra hard by the restrictions due to the corona virus. Therefore, we think it is important to be able to keep the church open for worship. During the weeks, our employees provide support in, for example, asylum cases or contact with authorities.
All weekly activities in the church are cancelled or implemented digitally even during the rest of April and throughout May. There may be some gatherings outdoors when the weather gets warmer.
The Safety Mode Consultation Group continues with weekly video meetings to evaluate the situation and listen to advice and instructions from the Government, the Public Health Authority and the Equmenia Church.
